Edgeline was formed in 2010 with the intention of becoming a market leader in the design, manufacture and sales of electrical, electronic, distribution board and mechanical products to the commercial, industrial, municipal, and mining market sectors.

A proudly South African, level 1 BBBEE company based in Robertsham, Johannesburg South. We specialise in the electrical, distribution board and mechanical engineering/solar systems and electrical wholesaler field. We only use well known premium products, providing the client with exceptional investment value.

We acquired a manufacturing entity which was established in 1964, this acquisition provided a solid foundation and accelerated our growth to our current position.

Our facilities

We currently operate from Robertsham with a gross area exceeding 16 000 m2, offering our clients a complete manufacturing solution and utilise the latest CNC controlled equipment complemented by a 3d design studio which guarantees accuracy on production.

Administration, Finance, Sales, SHEQ, HR, Purchasing, and Design departments are all housed within our corporate head office.

Fabrication

Our fabrication department is well equipped and boasts machinery of the highest standard, covering a wide spectrum of process's roll forming, slitting, punching, bending, corner notching and laser cutting.

Powder coating

All completed products are chemically cleaned at our pickling and passivation plant.

A five-stage dipping process forms the basis of our cleaning process, assisted by high pressure spray equipment for a final rinse cycle. Our powder coating plant boasts a Conveyer Line Oven & high-volume batch oven allowing for larger/heavier products. We can also process more than one colour at any given time.

Transformer

We manufacture and supply a comprehensive range of transformers From 50kVA - 5MVA in accordance to SANS 780 specification which include the following:

Pole Mount (Oil) Transformer
Pad Mount (Oil) Transformer
Dry Type Transformer

Electrical

We manufacture and supply a comprehensive range of electrical distribution boards motor control panels miniature substations to our clients specifications Final assembly and wiring is facilitated in our electromechanical department, comprising of several assembly stations. Each station is well equipped to deal with the required fitment, assembly and wiring of products.

We also offer a delivery and rigging service to our clients. Our fleet consists of several light commercial delivery vans and crane trucks.

ENGINEERING/SOLAR SYSTEMS AND ELECTRICAL WHOLESALER

Our manufacturing consultants are available to assist with designs to reduce manufacturing times and costs. Their vast experience with AutoCAD & SolidWorks 3D design studio ensures design accuracy, therefore cutting down on manufacturing time.

PRESS BRAKE

Our press brake can process flat cut to complex formed components, quickly and accurately using the latest technology. We can form the most intricate parts with the capability of up to 4 Meter 400 Tons.

FACTORY CAPABILITIES

Steel and Tube cutting and forming, welding, tig, mig and brazing, phosphate and cleaning plant, epoxy coating plant, press shop (400t max.), sheet metal workshop, press shop and CNC automated punching and bending facilities, distribution board.
